GigaMantis™ - High Speed Video and Data Through Walls
GigaMantis™ is an optical interface system which is powered by modulated light beams. The technology allows video, data and audio to pass through solid structures such as concrete walls up to 300mm thick, without creating radio noise.
As there is no radio or microwave radiation, the technology provides a safe, secure and high-speed cableless video, data and audio networking system for industrial, office, commercial and living areas.
Future Applications for GigaMantis™ Technology
GigaMantis™ can provide bandwidth throughput of up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbs).
Power Beat’s longer range MegaMantis™ transmitters can be aimed directly at a GigaMantis™ optical interface unit. The GigaMantis™ optical interface unit can be placed on an outside wall.
GigaMantis™ optical interface units convert MegaMantis™ modulating light beams, in a process called “photomorphic”, into an ultra-low power collimator circuit, which allows the modulations to tunnel through solid barriers such as concrete walls. The GigaMantis™ optical interface unit does not require electrical power as the device uses energy from the incoming MegaMantis™ light beams to operate.
On the inside of the wall a matching GigaMantis™ unit captures the incoming modulations and on-sends these to any computer interface or to the adjacent wall. This process can be repeated at every wall or partition inside a building thus allowing high speed ‘virtual fiber’ transmissions to travel through a building without the need to drag cables or transmit insecure radio / microwave signals throughout a building.
GigaMantis™ is an alternative, but more secure, technology than Wi-Fi and Wi-Max radio networks. GigaMantis™ does not require radio spectrum licensing. No radiation can be scanned and bandwidths of up to 10Gbs can be achieved.
