Megamantis

MegaMantis is a low noise low cost method of free space video data and audio transfer. The system is designed around cell sensors and compound lens arrays which follow design cues used by insects such as the praying mantis and the dragon fly. These insects utilize highly sensitive energy efficient photoreceptors, soft compound lenses and filters to process incoming light images.

MegaMantis technology under development by Power Beat include organic compound lens arrays and energy efficient transmitter modules which produce high speed electronic 'on-off' digital or continuously variable analogue photon streams.

ALU-X

The ALU-X™ extruded aluminum engine is the world's first fully extruded internal combustion engine. Huge cost savings are achieved by manufacturing the engine from extruded aluminum alloy instead of using conventional casting methods.

The ALU-X™ uses interlocking modules, made by sectioning extruded profiles (produced in long strips) at an appropriate length, for each cylinder and also to form the crankcase and envelop the crankshaft. Any number of these modules can join to make the engine block, replacing one-piece cast blocks and allowing engines of different capacities, cylinder numbers and stoke lengths to be made from the same parts.
